The Baruch College Bearcats suffered their first loss in 13 years to CCNY on Friday night at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.

Neither team shot the ball well this evening, but the difference in the game was an 18-9 scoring advantage in the third period by the Beavers that broke open a close contest and forced the Bearcats to play catch up.

Veronica Ganziled all scorers with 21 points, including 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Shannon Barrettin her second intercollegiate game scored a near double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

The Beavers featured a balanced scoring attack with Liz Durchhalter scoring a team-high 12 points and Tiara Brown grabbing 18 rebounds.

The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, January 19, with a 3 p.m. afternoon matinee against Ithaca College at home in the ARC Arena.
