BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport Women's Basketball team staged a furious comeback in the fourth quarter to emerge victorious in a back and forth battle with Hamilton College with a winning score of 67-62 Friday evening in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium.

Brockport (4-2 Overall) outrebounded a lineup of Continentals that featured six players 5-feet-10-inches or taller 36 to 33 with a tenacious spirit. The Continentals lengthy defenders managed eight blocks during the contest but Brockport utilized a quick lineup to the tune of 10 steals as Hannah Rehbaum, Faith Welch and Jenna Lividini swiped three apiece.

Olivia Suhr and Rehbaum led the Golden Eagle charge in the second half. Suhr scored 16 of her 20 total points in the final half of play to help Brockport overcome a 33-28 Hamilton lead.

The Golden Eagles momentarily took the 35-33 lead early in the third quarter when Suhr's steal and outlet pass to Welch led to a fast break layup from Rehbaum. Brockport tied the game up seconds before on a similar play when Suhr blocked a shot, grabbed the rebound sent the ball to Welch who found an open Rehbaum for the fast break points.

Hamilton fought back and held a five point lead at the end of the third quarter, holding a 46-41 advantage. The Golden Eagles quickly began chipping away at the lead with a Schyler Laux jumper from the corner getting the scoring started for Brockport in the final frame of action.

Rehbaum returned the favor to Welch on a lead changing play. The Continentals scored the final basket of the game with 1:11 remaining on the clock but it would be for naught as Brockport finished strong for its fourth victory of the season heading into winter break.

Welch totaled 15 points while adding an exceptional 7-to-1 assist to turnover ratio. Lividini had a hot night from beyond the arc knocking down three treys, finishing with nine points.
