Brookyln's Megan Campbell Named Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American

Austin, TX --- Brooklyn College senior forward Megan Campbell has been named a 2014-2015 Capital One /College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Women's Basketball NCAA Division III Academic All-American.

"It's an honor to be selected as an Academic All-American," said Campbell. "It is always a good feeling when you see your hard work payoff. I couldn't have done it without the help of my teammates, family and coaches."

Campbell, a fifth-year senior and second year member of the BC Women's Basketball team, was selected to the Third Team, as the Physical Education major boasts an impressive 3.862 GPA.

A two-time City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) First Team All-Star for the Bulldogs, the Tobyhanna, PA native has started in all 23 games she has played in this season, averaging 14.8 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game, all team-highs. Within the CUNYAC, Campbell ranks fifth in scoring and seventh in rebounding, while also tying for fourth in blocked shots. Additionally, she ranks second in the conference in field goal shooting percentage at 48.2% (146-for-303).

Campbell is the second Bulldog to be recognized as an Academic All-American, joining former BC standout Stephanie Caravello, who was named to the 2014 Capital One/ CoSIDA NCAA Division III Academic All-America Softball First Team.
