Free-throws were the key factor in the game. The Warhawks held the Titans to just 24 percent from the floor and six field goals in the second half but UW-Oshkosh went to the line 26 times in the second 20 minutes. A total of 52 fouls were called in the game with UW-Whitewater 14-for-20 from the charity stripe and the Titans 28-of-37 from the line.

Although the first 20 minutes were close, UW-Whitewater held the lead for all but 1:48 of the first half. Maddie Bare put the finishing touches on a 7-0 Warhawk run with a three pointer at the 4:59 mark to give UW-Whitewater its largest lead of the half, 28-20. 

The Tians responded with a seven-point spurt of their own to pull within one 30-29 with 1:48 left in the half. 

Brooke Trewyn hit two free throws with less than a minute to go but UW-Oshkosh's Marissa Selner hit a layup with 24 seconds on the clock to cut the lead back to one. The Warhawks held the 32-31 advantage at halftime. 

UW-Whitewater came out on fire from the three-point line making four of their seven shots from downtown (57.1 percent). The Warhawks shot 47.8 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes while the defense held UW-Oshkosh to 39.3 percent from the floor.  

The first half of the second 20 minute period went back-and-forth. Midway through, the Warhawks began building a lead that eventually hit eight points after a three-pointer from Jaya Perkins made it 54-46 with 8:17 remaining. 

UW-Oshkosh put together a 12-3 run over the next seven minutes to take a 58-57 lead with just over a minute to go. The Titans hit their next five attempts from the charity stripe to extend the gap to 63-57 with 23 seconds remaining.

Reeves knocked down two free throws with 15 seconds on the clock but the Titans were nearly perfect from the free throw line to seal the game. 

UW-Whitewater shot 42.2 percent (19-45) from the floor and 58.3 percent (7-12) from long range. The Titans' offensive efficiency rested at just 32.1 percent (17-53) and 36.4 percent (4-11) from downtown. 

Reeves led the Warhawks with 15 points bolstered by 5-for-7 from the charity stripe. Trewyn and Perkins added 12 points each to UW-Whitewater's total. Trewyn grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. 

UW-Oshkosh advances to face UW-Eau Claire on the road Friday at 7 p.m. in a WIAC semifinal. The winner of the WIAC Championship receives the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III tournament.
