Plymouth, N.H.-Sophomore Jessica Patalano (Exeter, RI) notched her first career double-double as the Rhode Island College women's basketball topped Little East Conference foe Plymouth State, 66-53, in the regular season finale for both clubs on Saturday afternoon.

With the victory, the Anchorwomen (7-18, 5-9 LEC) lock up the seventh seed in the upcoming 2015 Little East Tournament and will travel to second-seeded UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday evening in first round action.

The Anchorwomen opened a six-point lead when sophomore guard Alex Moore (West Newbury, MA) buried a jump shot to put them up, 10-4, 6:56 into the half. RIC continued to apply pressure, increasing its lead to 16 points, 26-10, on a Moore layup with 6:30 left in the half. Plymouth (6-19, 0-14 LEC) rallied, trimming the lead down to five entering the half, 31-26, when senior forward Tiffany Lewis (Hillsboro, NH) made a late jump shot for the hosts.

The Panthers used a 16-8 run to open the second half, capped by a jump shot by sophomore guard Avi Morrison (Hampton, NH), to take a 42-39 advantage with 14:13 remaining in the half. The next seven minutes saw the two teams trade buckets, with RIC holding a narrow, 52-48, advantage with 7:46 left in the game. The Anchorwomen outscored the Panthers, 14-5, over the remainder of the game to secure the victory.

Patalano came off the bench to record a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Junior forward Devin Hill (Danielson, CT) led all scorers with 22 points and also hauled down nine boards. Moore netted 20 points and handed out six assists. RIC shot 40.4 percent (21-for-52) from the field, 38.5 percent (5-for-13) from three-point range and 76.0 (19-for-25) from the charity stripe.

Lewis notched a double-double for the Panthers, scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Morrison scored 11 points off the bench. PSU shot 32.3 percent (20-for-62) from the field, 22.2 percent (4-for-18) from three-point land and 56.3 percent (9-for-16) from the charity stripe.
