KENOSHA, Wis. (Feb. 11, 2015) –
After a slow start Wednesday night, the North Central College women's basketball team never quite found its rhythm, dropping just its third game of the season, suffering a 101-90 defeat at the hands Carthage College.

The Lady Reds (14-9, 7-5 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) ran out to an early 12-0 lead less than five minutes into the contest, as the 23rd-ranked Cardinals started 0-for-11 shooting from the field and trailed by double-digits nearly the entire contest.

Carthage led by as many as 23 points in the opening half, as North Central shot just 2-of-15 from three-point range and trailed 49-29 at the intermission.

The Cardinals (20-3, 9-3 CCIW) hung tough in the second half, shooting at a 50 percent clip from long range and drew to within nine points of the Carthage lead after Maryssa Cladisknocked down back-to-back three-pointers with just over a minute remaining, but it was too little too late for the North Central offense.

Tess Godhardt paced the Cardinal scoring with 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, while Cladis added 14 points and a game-high eight assists.

Five Lady Reds finished in double-figures led by Alexis Hahn's game-high 34 points on 15-of-23 shooting to go along with 17 rebounds.

North Central travels to Elmhurst College on Saturday, Feb. 14 with tip-off slated for 2 p.m.
