(NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.) – Junior guard/forward Sydney Moss (St. Albans, W.Va./Boone County (Ky.)) scored a game-high 22 points in only 19 minutes of action to lead the second-ranked Thomas More College women's basketball team to an 88-50 win over Westminster College today (Saturday, January 31, 2015) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at  Buzz Ridle Gymnasium in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.

With the win, the Saints remain undefeated at 19-0 overall and 12-0 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Titans fall to 4-15 overall and 3-9 in the PAC.

The Saints opened the game on a 14-0 run capped by a lay-up by Moss with 16:08 to play in the first half.  Westminster answered with a 9-4 run to cut the lead to 18-9 with 11:41 to play in the first half when Paige Quinn made two free-throws.  Thomas More responded with a 10-2 run to extend the lead to 28-11 when freshman guard Abby Owings (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) made two free-throws with 5:55 to play in the opening half. The Titans used a 9-4 run to cut the lead to 32-20 on a Kristine Fromknecht lay-up with 2:28 to play in the half.  Thomas More closed the half on a 9-2 run to take a 41-22 halftime lead when Moss hit a three-pointer with two-seconds to play in the opening half.

Thomas More out-scored Westminster, 47-28, in the second half to cruise to the 88-50 victory.  For the game, Thomas More out-scored the Titans 30-10 in the paint and 39-7 off turnovers.

Freshman forward Nikki Kiernan (Cold Springs, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) recorded her first career double-double as she 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds to go with a game-high eight blocked shots.  Owings joined Moss and Kiernan in double-figure scoring with 14 points.  Junior guard Kiley Bartels (Southgate, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) led the team in steals with four, while junior guard Olivia Huber (Woodlawn, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) led the team in steals with three.

The Saints return to action on Wednesday (February 4) when they travel to Bethany, West Virginia to play Bethany College.  Tip-off is scheduled 6 p.m. inside Hummel Field House.
