BRADFORD, Pa. – Riding the strong performances of senior Alicia Kimmel and freshman Ali Rinfrette, the Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team dominated the Hilbert Hawks on Wednesday night, 83-42, at the KOA Arena.

Kimmel was honored prior to the start of the game for recently becoming the newest member of the Pitt-Bradford 1,000-point Club. She finished with a game-high 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Rinfrette registered a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Also putting together a solid showing was freshman Kaserra Owens. Owens tallied 13 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Rounding out the top performers were junior Abby Brate and junior Allison Osborne, as each finished with 10 points. Brate tacked on one rebound and two assists, while Osborne notched five rebounds and two assists.

This one was never close, as Pitt-Bradford (6-4, 3-1) opened the game on a 9-0 run before the Hawks found the basket. From there, the Panthers put on a clinic as shots dropped continuously and Pitt-Bradford never looked back.

The Panthers forced a total of 30 turnovers, while committing just nine of their own. The boards were tied between the two squads as Hilbert (0-8, 0-5) matched the Panthers with 46 apiece.   

The Panthers headed to the locker room at the break with a 46-25 lead and were shooting a whopping 54.1 percent and connected on 1-of-2 three's. They were 5-of-7 from the line.

Hilbert shot just 32.4 percent and made 2-of-11 three's. The Hawks were 1-of-3 from the stripe.

Pitt-Bradford showed no mercy in the second period as the Panthers outshot the Hawks 37 points to 17. The lopsided victory is the largest of the season-to-date for the Panthers as they continue to roll through conference play.

Pitt-Bradford finished the game shooting 45 percent from the field, including 2-of-6 from three. The ladies were 9-of-12 from the line.

Hilbert finished by shooting 27.7 percent and 18.8 percent from three. The Hawks were 3-of-7 from the stripe.

Looking ahead, Pitt-Bradford hits the road for a tough weekend slate. The team travels to face Penn State Altoona on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. in Altoona, Pa. Following the contest, Pitt-Bradford travels to Cresson, Pa., to face Mount Aloysius on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m. as well.
