ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team suffered a 76-59 defeat to the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen on Tuesday.

Senior Alicia Kimmel paced all Panthers with 23 points, three rebounds and three assists on 10-of-18 shooting from the field. Sophomore Kaserra Owens finished with 11 points, six rebounds and two assists.

Pitt-Bradford (4-4, 1-1) was outrebounded in the contest 38-31 and despite capitalizing on its limited trips to the line, Lebanon Valley (9-2) connected on a total of 16 free throws.

The Dutchmen opened the game on a six-point run before starting yet another run moments later that gave the home team a 12-4 advantage before the Panthers round a rhythm.

Pitt-Bradford went on to take the lead on a jumper from Kimmel with 9:27 to play that gave the Panthers a 16-14 advantage. From that point forward, the two squads exchanged buckets continuously for the remainder of the half until Lebanon Valley entered the break with a 32-30 lead.

The game remained tight through the midway point of the second half as the Panthers hung around. As the clock ticked into the final five minutes, Lebanon Valley began to pull away. Two free throws for the Dutchmen with 46 seconds to go wrapped up the game and the clock expired.

"It is a 40 minute game and unfortunately we only played 25 minutes," said head coach Patrick Daniel. "You can't do that against a very good team like Lebanon Valley. I hate losing, but I feel very positive going into conference play on Saturday."
