Krajco garners WIAC Player of the Week honors

MADISON, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Alyssa Krajco was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.  

Krajco recorded a pair of double-doubles to lead the Pioneers a 2-0 record for the week.  In the season opener against Loras College (Iowa) on Nov. 15, she totaled 19 points and 12 rebounds.  Krajco then led the Pioneers to a 82-75 victory at University of Dubuque (Iowa) on Nov. 16, recording a game-high 27 points and 17 rebounds.  She has scored 24 of her 46 points from the free throw line, and registered nine of her 29 rebounds on the offensive end. 

Krajco and the Pioneers open their home schedule on Friday at 5:30 p.m. against Wartburg.
