More news about: Albright

The Albright College women's basketball team dropped a Senior Day season finale, 71-49 to visiting Elizabethtown on Saturday.

It was Senior Day for three departing Lions- Kristi McFadden, Shawn Barczynski and Meghan Boyle. Boyle was surprised during introductions by her brother William, back from a deployment overseas in Afghanistan.

Boyle pulled down five rebounds in the game to move into fourth all-time in the school record books in that category.

Another player moving up the record board was sophomore Kelecia Harris, who blocked one shot to equal the school single season mark of 61.

Rachel Forjan made 9-of-11 shots, including some outside jumpers, for a game-high 20 point. Kreider added 14 points and nine rebounds.

Albright ends its season with a record of 13-12 (7-11 Commonwealth), its first winning season since 2008-09. Elizabethtown (20-4, 14-4) moves on to the conference semifinals next week.
