Leah Eisner (Sr.-Stevens Point, Wis.) became the 10th player in Lakeland College women's basketball history to reach the career 1,000-point mark for her career, but Concordia University Wisconsin put a damper on the celebration by defeating the Muskies 76-57 Tuesday night.

The Falcons shot a blistering 68.0% in the second half to blow open a close game at halftime and snap Lakeland's brief two-game winning streak. The Muskies dropped to 8-12 overall and 5-10 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference as Concordia (17-3 overall, 13-2 NACC) swept the season series between the two schools.

Eisner came into the night needing 20 points to reach 1,000 for her career and got the mark on a layup while she was fouled with 3:01 left in the game. The 6-foot-1 center completed the three-point play and finished with game highs of 21 points and 12 rebounds, hitting 8 of 16 from the field and 5-for-8 from the free throw line.

As a unit, though, the Muskies struggled offensively, shooting 36.8% for the night (21 of 57). Lakeland was just 4-for-18 from three-point range and after Eisner had no other players scoring in double figures.

The bigger problem for the Muskies, though, was Concordia's red-hot shooting in the final 20 minutes. The Falcons made 17 of 25 shots from the floor in the second half, including 12 straight at one point.

Lakeland trailed just 30-28 at halftime, but Concordia dominated after the break. The Falcons at one point led by as much as 26 points, outscoring the Muskies 44-20 until Lakeland narrowed the score at the end.

Concordia finished the game making 28 of 50 shots as well as 18 of 26 free throws (69.2%). The Falcons also owned the glass, outrebounding the Muskies 40-26, including a huge 22-8 advantage in the second half.

Trista Barron (So.-Escanaba, Mich.) and Gaby Cappaert (So.-Stephenson, Mich.) both added eight points for Lakeland. Kayla Clark (Fr.-West Bend, Wis.) also added seven points and a team-high four assists.

The Muskies remain in ninth place in the NACC standings, one-half game behind Rockford (Ill.) University, which is 6-10 in conference play. The top eight teams advance to the NACC Tournament.

Lakeland is on the road again on Saturday when it travels to face Alverno College at 7 p.m. in Milwaukee.
