Baruch Defeats Lehman (67-48) to Raise CUNYAC Record to 6-1

The Baruch College Bearcats defeated the Lightning of Lehman College, 67-48, in a CUNYAC contest played on Wednesday night in the Bronx.

The visiting Bearcats (10-5, 6-1 CUNYAC) shot 47 percent (14-for-30) in the second half and won the rebounding battle by a 27-17 margin to record the road win.

The defense came up big by limiting the Lightning(10-6, 4-3 CUNYAC) to only 3-of-23 shooting from 3-point range and forced 20 turnovers that the Bearcats turned into 19 points.

Iyana Abrams led the team and scored in double-digits for the sixth straight game with 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.
 
Sheridan Taylor had a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Francess Henry contributed 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Alicea Ulmer collected eight points, seven rebounds and two steals.

Amely Del Rosario led the Lightning with 20 points.

The women's basketball team will continue their conference schedule on Friday night with a 5:30 pm home contest against Medgar Evers.
