RADNOR, Pa. – It wasn't pretty, but it was effective, as the Cabrini women's basketball improved to 6-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with tonight's 52-40 win over Rosemont College.  The Blue and White's fourth consecutive victory improved the club to 12-3 overall and extended its home win streak to 22 games.

Senior Brittany Sandone led the Cavaliers with 14 points, while senior Annie Rivituso and sophomore Dana Peterson added nine points each.  Junior Amber Keys chipped in with eight points off the bench.

The Blue and White struggled with its shooting touch, connecting on just 38.6% from the floor, including 1-13 from the three point range and 7-16 from the free throw line.  The Cavaliers, however, leaned on its tough defense and lane dominance to secure the victory.

Cabrini held the Ravens to less than 30% shooting, including 0-7 from deep, and forced 25 turnovers resulting in 21 points.  The Cavaliers also outscored Rosemont 38-16 in the paint.  The Ravens won the battle of the boards, outrebounding the Blue and White 45-39 but could only convert its 17 offensive boards into six second half points.

Rivituso led the Cavaliers on the glass with nine rebounds, while sophomore Meghan Martin grabbed seven caroms and Peterson six.  Keys also matched Sandone with four steals on the night.

Junior Liz Coyne led the Ravens (3-10, 1-4 CSAC) with 10 points and nine rebounds.  Junior Nymira Nelson and sophomore Brianna Macauley added eight points each.

The Cavaliers will hit the road on Saturday, as they travel to La Plume, Pa. to face Keystone College (9-5, 3-2 CSAC).  Tip is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
