Robinson Nets Triple-Double in Keystone's Win Over Notre Dame

La Plume, PA – Jazmyn Robinson (Hyattsville, MD/Northwestern) recorded a triple-double on Saturday afternoon to help lead Keystone College to an 87-37 victory over Notre Dame of Maryland University in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action.  Chantel Blake (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) led all players with 21 points and all 10 Keystone players who saw action scored as the Giants improved to 5-1 on the season and remained unbeaten in conference play at 3-0.
 
Robinson's triple-double came on 13 points and game-highs of 11 rebounds and 11 assists, and the junior guard, who recorded the first triple-double of her career, also collected a game-high five steals in the win.
 
Both teams struggled offensively in the first five minutes of Saturday's game and with Notre Dame (0-7, 0-3 CSAC) holding an 8-5 lead at the 14:25 mark, Ashley Evans (Wooster, OH/Wooster) hit a three-pointer that leveled the scored and started a 20-3 run for Keystone that would give the hosts a 25-11 lead with 6:04 remaining in the opening half.  The Giants would then extend their lead to 24 points, 38-14, heading into the halftime break.
 
Blake scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds in the first half to lead Keystone while Robinson, Evans, and Alyssa Cuomo (Odessa, DE/Hodgson Vo-tech) scored nine points apiece in the first half for the Giants.  Robinson also added six boards and five assists in the half while Jerica Rode (Lords Valley, PA/Wallenpaupack) contributed five rebounds and five assists in the opening 20 minutes of play.  Keystone shot 40.5 percent from the field in the period including a 40 percent effort from three-point range.
 
Kamelya Medina paced Notre Dame with eight points and five rebounds in the first half while Erika Deppenschmidt added six points for the Gators, who shot just 16.1 percent in the period while going 28.6 percent from beyond the arc.    
 
The Gators scored the first field goal of the second half before the Giants used a 30-9 surge to extend their lead to 69-25 midway through the period and Keystone would cruise the rest of the way in notching the 50-point victory.
 
Blake finished with a game-high 21 points to go along with seven rebounds while Evans and Cuomo netted 14 points apiece in the win.  Robinson's 13 points gave the Giants four players in double-figures.  Rode added eight rebounds, five assists, and two blocks in the contest.  Keystone finished the game shooting 49.3 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from beyond the arc while going 5-6 from the free throw line.
 
Medina led Notre Dame with a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds while Deppenschmidt finished with nine points.  Taylor Kent chipped in eight points and tied with Medina for the team-lead with three assists for the Gators, who shot 21.9 percent from the field while going 5-26 from downtown and 4-6 from the charity stripe.
 
Keystone will return to action next Saturday when they visit SUNY IT for a non-conference game scheduled to tipoff at 2:00 p.m. in Utica, NY.
