The top-seeded women's basketball team defeated the #8 seeded Cardinals of York College, 81-43, in a quarterfinal game of the 2013 CUNYAC / Con Edison Basketball Championship Tournament.

The Bearcats (24-2) took control early by building a 26-4 lead with 12:25 left in the opening half. They finished shooting 50.7 percent (35-of-69) and totaled 21 assists en route to the playoff victory.

Jessica Dulebawas named the CUNYAC / Con Edison Player of the Game with 21 points (9-12 fg) and six rebounds.  

Alicea Ulmerscored 14 points (7-9 fg) and Francess Henryrounded out the double-figure scorers with 13 points (5-7 fg).

The Bearcats advance to the semifinal round on Wednesday, February 20, at 6:00 pm to play rival Hunter at CCNY's Nat Holman Gymnasium.

The visiting Cardinals struggled shooting 24.1 percent (14-for-58) with 29 turnovers to finish their season with a 3-23 record. Shanelle Baldwin led the team with nine points, seven rebounds and four steals.
