Balanced Attack Routs Cougars as Five Beavers Reached Double Figures

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – A balanced attack by the City College of New York saw five players reach double figures as the Beavers improved to 4-6 in conference play and 4-13 overall with a 75-30 rout over Medgar Evers College (0-19, 0-10 CUNYAC) on Friday evening at the Cougars Cave.

Giovanna Blanco and Latoya Lee finished with 12 points apiece with Lee's coming off the bench on 6-of-10 shooting while Bria Fisher added 11 and Katelynn Kozak and Joyce Li combined for 20 bench points as both scored 10 points (season-high's).  Li and Sajidah Pressley dished out six assists each as CCNY finished with 24 assists on 28 made field-goals.

Tonight's game marked the first time the Beavers surpassed the 70 total points this season and the first time since Jan. 20, 2012, a 83-29 victory over Medgar Evers.

The bench dominated play tonight and outscored the Cougars 45-3 while CCNY added 35 points off of turnovers, both season-high's.

The Beavers return to Nat Holman Gymnasium to host Baruch College, who is undefeated in CUNYAC play, on Monday, Jan. 28 at 5 p.m.
