WAYNE, N.J. – Seventeen unanswered second-half points helped to lift the William Paterson women's basketball team (13-5, 7-3 NJAC) to a 76-66 victory against visiting Richard Stockton (9-6, 4-5 NJAC) Jan. 19.

Trailing 53-41 with 17:24 remaining in the contest, senior Lindsey Callander (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville) started the Pioneer rally with a jumper, and nine points off the hot hand of junior forward Dana Jeter (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) allowed WP to surge ahead by a 58-53 count with 12:32 to play.  Ten straight points by junior guard Floriana Borova (Cresskill, N.J./Cresskill) later made it a 72-59 William Paterson advantage with 3:11 on the clock, essentially putting the game out of reach.

Borova scored 14 of her team-best 21 points during the second period, adding eight rebounds, six assists and four steals.  Junior guard Kristine Jackiewicz (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) notched her first career double-double with 16 tallies and a game-high 10 rebounds, while Jeter finished with 13 points, seven boards and eight assists.

The Pioneers led by as many as seven early in the contest (12-5, 13:43), but a 12-0 Osprey burst handed Richard Stockton a 31-21 advantage with 6:15 left in the first half.  Stockton owned a 42-26 halftime lead, securing nearly half of its points from the free-throw line (20-21, .952), led by Alex Nardoza's 8-for-8 effort at the stripe for a game-best 13 points during the first 20 minutes.

Nardoza finished with 26 points, and senior Alexa Ryan posted 15 tallies for the Ospreys.

William Paterson will play at No. 11/13 Montclair State Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 8:00 p.m.
