BUFFALO, NY - The Medaille College women's basketball team posted a season high point total and were four points shy of a program record in a (91-85) victory over AMCC foe Mt. Aloysius College today.

The Lady Mavs received a balanced effort from their starting lineup as all five registered double digit point games.  Leading the way was Meghan Dougherty who drilled a pair of critical late game three pointers and then knocked down six free throws in the final (00:44) seconds to finish with a team best (21) points.  She also dished out a team high six assists to go along with four rebounds and a blocked shot.

Senior Tanisha Travis posted her tenth double/double of the season as she tallied (13) points on (6 of 9) shooting while pulling down a game high (14) caroms, swiping a game best three steals and blocking a hot.  Twin sister Taneda Travis came off the bench and provided a huge spark for Medaille as she poured in (13) points and grabbed five boards in the win.

Three other Lady Mav starters that were key contributors were Brittney Rowland (11 points), Alicia Montalvo (12) points and the teams leading scorer Joelle Pollak who netted (17) points.

Medaille shot well from all over the floor as they were (50.9%) from the field, (35.0%) from behind the arc and (76.5%) from the charity stripe.  Medaille knocked down twelve straight free throws in the closing minutes of the game to secure the victory.

The Lady Mavs also won the battle in the lane as they outscored the Mounties (38-24) in the paint and outscored the visitors in fast break points (12-0).

The win pushes Medaille's record to (18-4) overall and (13-2) in AMCC play.  They will head to Penn State-Altoona on Saturday (2/11) where they will face the Lions in a 3:00pm AMCC contest.
