GREENSBURG, PA - The Medaille College women's basketball team ended a three game skid when they cruised past AMCC foe Pitt-Greensburg (72-53) this afternoon in a conference road battle.  A hot shooting first half led the Lady Mavs to their first AMCC win of the season.

The Lady Mavs were firing on all cylinders in the opening twenty minutes as they knocked down (19 of 29) field goal attempts for a staggering (65.5%) field goal percentage.  That torrid shooting pace propelled Medaille to a (47-30) lead at the break.  The second half would be much tighter but the cushion that the Lady Mavs created in the opening half would be too much for the Bobcats to overcome.

Leading the way for Medaille was Joelle Pollak who poured in a game high (25) points while also pulling down (7) boards, dishing out (4) assists and coming up with (5) steals on the defensive end of the floor.

Another strong performance was given by Tanisha Travis who netted (15) points while grabbing a team high (10) caroms and her twin sister Taneda Travis came off the bench to contribute (10) points, (6) rebounds, and (3) assists in the victory.

The Lady Mavs controlled the paint, outscoring the Bobcats (34-22) in the lane meanwhile the Medaille reserves outdid their counterparts to the tune of (14-4) in the scoring column.

The win pushes Medaille's record to (2-3) overall and they even their conference record at (1-1).  The Lady Mavs will play their AMCC home opener on Wednesday (12/7) when they host Pitt-Bradford at 8:00pm.
