Towson, Md. – Marymount University's women's basketball team picked up a non-conference victory 54-35 over former Capital Athletic Conference foe Goucher on Monday night.  The Saints move to 2-3 on the season with the win.

Katelyn Fischer, the reigning CAC Player of the Week, continued her impressive run with a game-high 16 points to go with seven assists and six rebounds.  Julie Tomesheski was dominant on the boards down low, pulling in 19 rebounds and blocking a pair of shots.

Samantha Kane nearly notched a double-double for MU with 12 points and eight rebounds while Sam Spencer and Carolyn Hildreth added eight points each.  Dominique Dickens chipped in six points and seven boards off the bench.

Goucher (1-4) and the Saints traded leads throughout the first five minutes of the game before a Kane layup at the 14:48 mark put MU up for good at 9-8.  The Saints would go on to hold their hosts to the fewest points allowed on the season and held the Gophers without a field goal for the final 7:43 of the contest.

Shante Atkinson led the Gophers (1-4) with 11 points while Kiara Doughty added 16 rebounds.
