Shooting, Turnovers Haunt Albion in Loss to North Park

FRANKLIN, Ind. – Albion College shot 29 percent from the field and committed 26 turnovers in a 70-40 setback to North Park University in the consolation game of the Franklin College Tip-Off Tournament Nov. 19.

Patty Rewa's layup pulled Albion within three, 20-17, with 8:14 remaining in the first half. North Park ripped off a 16-2 run to seize control of the game. Roxanne Jones scored eight of her team-high 14 points during the rally. North Park held a 38-25 lead at halftime.

Albion whittled the margin to seven points midway through the second half, but it scored two points over the final 11:14 of the contest.

Rewa posted 16 points and 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Nicole Dennis produced 12 points.

Albion will play its next four games at home, starting with a Nov. 26 date against local rival Spring Arbor University.
