Box Score: HIU 76, CLU 66 - F

In the first half Cal Lutheran was able to take advantage of Hope International's effort to play full court defense. Channing Fleischmann scored 16 of her career-high 26 points in the first half and Chelsey Hastigan knocked down three three-pointers. Cal Lutheran led by as many as 16 points during the first period and led 45-34 at halftime.

Both teams struggled offensively to begin the second half and Cal Lutheran held Hope International scoreless over the opening five minutes of the period. However once the Royals got going they were tough to stop.

Hope International scored 33 points off 30 Cal Lutheran turnovers while the Regals managed only nine points of 18 Royal miscues. An 11-point Cal Lutheran lead with 9:21 quickly evaporated and Hope International took back the lead with just under five minutes left.

From that point on the Royals pushed on scoring 12 of the game's final 15 points. Four different HIU players scored in double figures with a team-high 11 coming from Lindsay Sutherlin, Britanny Bauman and Samera Dorton.

The Royals pressure wore down the Regals as the home side managed to take only 23 second half shots while committing 16 turnovers. Fleischmann connected on 4-of-7 shots for 10 second half points while the rest of the squad was held to 2-for-16 shooting from the floor and 11 points.
