LATROBE, PA (February 22, 2011) . . . The Chatham University women's basketball team ended their season tonight with a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) first-round playoff loss at St. Vincent College 64-47.

St. Vincent was ranked second in PAC standings and also ranked 19th overall in the country this year.

Senior Sonjia Hoston (McKeesport, PA/Oakland Catholic) led the Cougars tonight with 14 points and eight rebounds. First year Carly Zelenak (Mt. Pleasant, PA/Mt. Pleasant) added 10 points of her own tonight as well.

Seniors Kayla Hilko (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) and Barb Petty (Amelia, OH/Glen Este) each contributed five assists for Chatham tonight in the PAC loss.

Chatham finished with a 10-15 overall record and went 5-11 in PAC play. The six senior members of the Cougars' squad finished their careers with four straight 10 or more victory seasons and also earned the only playoff victory in school history a season ago.

"I am very proud of the successes that this group of seniors has accomplished in their careers. They worked hard on and off the court and have proven to be excellent role models for those younger members and returning members to the team next year," head coach Mark Katarski commented.
