SHERMAN, Texas (Feb. 20) -- Hendrix College junior Caty Hensy recorded her first double-double of the season in 28 minutes off the bench to help propel the Warriors to a 69-55 win over Austin College on Sunday afternoon at Hughey Gymnasium.

The Warriors (15-10, 11-5 SCAC) spoiled the Roos' senior day in the regular season finalé. Hendrix jumped out to an early advantage but a 15-3 run eventually put the Warriors behind, 19-9, with 11:52 left in the opening half.

Hendrix chipped away at its 10-point deficit and senior Christina Byler's 3-pointer with 3:23 to go gave the Warriors the final lead change of the game. Hendrix finished the last six minutes of the half on a 13-0 run to lead 31-24 at halftime.

The Warriors bridged intermission and extended the stretch 21 unanswered points, 39-24, with 18:18 left in regulation. Austin (7-16, 5-11 SCAC) responded and narrowed the gap to five points with 11:07 on the clock. Hendrix answered with an 11-1 spurt over the next five minutes to take back the commanding lead. The Warriors led by at least 12 points the rest of the way.

Byler paced Hendrix with 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Hensy finished with a season-high 14 points and added 11 rebounds, five assists and four blocks to the mix. Senior Wyvonne Hawkins scored nine points and first year Jamie Tate tallied eight points and nine rebounds.
