INDIANOLA - Nothing could slow down the Simpson offense Wednesday night. Not even the fire alarms.

Ali Sokol came within two rebounds of a double-double, six Simpson players reached double figures and the Storm rolled past Central, 106-58.

With 13:27 remaining in the first half and Simpson leading 17-6, game officials cleared Cowles Fielhouse when the fire alarms sounded. After 10 minutes, spectators returned to their seats and the teams returned to the court following the false alarm.

The Storm (11-3, 5-0 IIAC) didn't miss a beat, however, forcing 33 Central turnovers and holding the Dutch to 30 percent shooting en-route to their 10th win a row and 19th-straight in the series.

Sokol scored 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds on a night when Simpson's face-paced style of play showed its muscle. The Storm scored 39 points off Central turnovers and out-scored the Dutch (3-11, 0-5 IIAC) 24-4 on fast breaks.

Jeni Hegstrom, Jamie Elbert and Kate Nielsen scored 11 points each while Stacey Schutjer and Ashley Rogers added 10 apiece. Kelsie Reeves chipped in with nine points, six assists and four steals. Darrina Bledsoe had five assists and five steals.

Simpson led wire-to-wire, never looking back after scoring the first eight points of the game. Amy Hamilton's 3-pointer as time expired in the first half pushed the lead to 30, 52-22.

The second 20 minutes provided more of the same, as the Storm went on a 17-4 run after Annie Sarcone hit a pair of free throws to begin the period.

Simpson takes it's 10-game winning streak to Decorah on Saturday for a road test against Luther (5-9, 1-4 IIAC). Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
