Greensboro Improves to 10-0 With 85-56 Win

Greensboro, N.C. -- Freshman Chevena Pickard (Greensboro, NC/Page) scored 20 points as Greensboro College defeated Meredith College, 85-56, on Wednesday night. Pickard was 10-15 from the field as The Pride improved to 10-0 and 5-0 in the USA South.

GC led 45-14 at the break. Danielle Duncan (Greensboro, NC/Ragsdale) had 19 points and six rebounds. Bianca Richburg (Hillsborough, NC/Orange County) and Nikki Wilborn (Graham NC/Graham) both contributed 12 for the home team. Andrienne Terrell (Omaha, NE/Decatur) dished nine assists and had eight steals.

Megan Rahn netted game-high 23 points for Meredith (2-6, 0-4).

GC shot 44-percent (34-78) to 40-percent for MC (17-43). The Pride won the battle of the boards, 48-27. Greensboro forced 30 turnovers that resulted in 31 points.

Duncan was presented a commemorative basketball prior to the game for passing the 1000 career point mark earlier this year.
