Kelsey Thingvold (Crystal, Minn.) hit a three-pointer with three seconds to play in overtime, giving the Yellowjackets a 73-72 lead.  Bri Davis (Hermantown, Minn.) then hit a free throw with one second on the clock, to seal the game and give the Yellowjackets the Holiday Inn Express tournament championship.

The Yellowjackets jumped out to a seven-point lead in the first five minutes, taking control of the game early.  Dubuque rallied, however, and took a one-point lead into halftime.  In the second half it was Dubuque's turn to lead, and they built up a five-point advantage, but the Yellowjackets rallied to not only tie the game, but build a nine-point edge, their largest of the game, with just under six minutes to go.  Dubuque would then go on an 11-2 run over the next three minutes to again tie the game, and eventually take a two-point lead.  A pair of free throws by Hailey Hart (Osseo, Wis.) tied the game again, sending it to overtime.

For the second game in a row, Bri Davis led the way, scoring a game-high 24 points.  Thingvold and Hart added 13 apiece and Kailee McDonald (Cambridge, Minn.) had 11.  Hart had a team-leading 12 rebounds in the game.

Mollie Whiting had 23 points in the loss for Dubuque.

Davis and Thingvold were each named to the all-tournament team.  Davis scored 47 points in the two games and pulled down 22 rebounds in the two games, averaging 23.5 points and 11 rebounds per contest.  Thingvold scored 29 points in the two games.
