On Sunday, coming off a pair of wins at the Holiday Inn Express Tournament in Dubuque, Iowa, the Yellowjackets made a shorter road trip, across the bridge to take on St. Scholastica, a team they defeated handily to open the regular season.  Less than two months later, the Saints turned the tables, rallying from a big deficit in the first half to come-from-behind and beat the Yellowjackets 55-51 at the Reif Gym.

The Yellowjackets started fast, opening up a 10-0 lead in the first four minutes of action.  The Saints would find their stride, but would still trail by a 28-20 score at the half.  All 28 points for the Yellowjackets came from the five starters, led by Kelsey Thingvold (Crystal, Minn.) who had nine points.  The Yellowjackets shot 40% from the field in the first half, while the Saints were a dismal 25.9%.

In the second half, the tables turned.  The Saints opened the half on a 12-4 run and tied the game on a Kayla Heisler three-pointer just five minutes into the half.  The Saints would take the lead for good with just over nine minutes to play in the game.  The Yellowjackets went cold shooting the ball after halftime, hitting just 30.6% of their field goals (11-36) and going 0-9 from three-point range.

In the end, the cold shooting in the second half, as well as a tough game from the bench doomed the Yellowjackets.  All the scoring in the game for the Yellowjackets came from their starters, as their bench was outscored 17-0 by the Saints.  Bri Davis (Hermantown, Minn.) led the way for the Yellowjackets with 16 points.  Thingvold added 13 points and Hailey Hart (Osseo, Wis.) had 12.  Hart also had a team-leading 10 rebounds.  Connie Urmanski (Edgar, Wis.) led the team with five assists.

Heisler led the Saints with 15 points, while Kelly Cinquegrani had 12 points.
