Newcomer Helps Propel Cougars to Victory in California

PASADENA, CA (January 2, 2011) . . . The Chatham University women's basketball team traveled across the country today to take on California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA in their first contest of the New Year. The Cougars defeated their non-conference opponent today by a final score of 57-42.

 

The Cougars had two women finish in double figures tonight. The first was senior Kayla Hilko (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin), who finished with 12 points. The second Cougar to finish in double figures was sophomore Colleen Kiss (McKeesport, PA/Oakland Catholic), who also scored 12 points in her debut performance at Chatham.

 

Chatham (5-6, 1-3) will return to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action this Saturday, January 8th as they host Geneva College at 2 pm. Geneva is still an NCAA Division III provisional member and is not eligible for the PAC Championship title, therefore, the result will not count towards PAC standings.
