Cincinnati, Ohio – Playing for the second time in as many days, the Oberlin College women's basketball team upended the College of Mount St. Joseph, 68-58, in the consolation game of the MSJ Tip-off Tournament.

The Yeowomen had four players score in double figures and shot an impressive 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from beyond the arc. Sophomore Allison Anderson nearly recorded her second career triple-double as she finished with a game-high 18 points and nine rebounds while tying a career-high with 10 assists. Kelly Warlich added 16 points and nine rebounds of her own. Syrea Thomas went 4-of-8 from 3-point land, netting 14 points, and Ellen Neumann added a career-high 11 on 4-of-7 shooting.

"This was a good all-around win for us," Head Coach Kerry Jenkins said. "Everyone did their part and contributed today. I was proud of the way we were able to battle back after yesterday's loss and play a good game."

A triple-hit by first-year Malisa Hoak gave the Yeowomen at 21-10 cushion with 12:10 left in the opening half. However, the Lions fought back to get within three at the break as Oberlin led just 35-32.

In the second half, a stick-back lay-up by Warlich at the 15:01 mark put Oberlin back up by 11 at 53-42. The Lions would get no closer than nine points the rest of the way as the Yeowomen cruised to their first win of the season.

Oberlin finished 24-of-55 shooting (43.6%), while Mount St, Joseph shot 34.9 percent (22-of-63). The Yeowomen also won the battle of the boards 43-35.

The Yeowomen will return home to host Bluffton University on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
