Keene, N.H.--Junior guard Deyshawn Tengbeh (East Providence, R.I.) scored a team-high 23 points as Rhode Island College lost at No. 11 Keene State, 88-59, in the Little East regular season finale for both clubs at Spaulding Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Owls started the game steadily adding to their lead. A three-point shot by junior guard Octavio Brito (Lincoln, R.I.) would give the 11th-ranked Owls a 29-11 lead with 9:20 left in the first half.
• The Owls would shoot 6-for-17 from beyond the three-point arc in the first 20 minutes to hold a 46-27 advantage at the midway point.
• The second half saw Keene go on a 14-3 run to extend its lead to 21 points, 56-35, with 10:20 remaining in the contest.
The two teams would exchange baskets until the final buzzer as the Owls completed the season sweep of the Anchormen.
• Senior forward Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) led the squad with 17 rebounds.
• Junor guard Isiah McCallam (Orange, N.J.) contributed nine points, four boards and a pair of blocks.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College is the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 4 seeded-Southern Maine in first round action of the 2024 Little East Men's Basketball Championship on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
