All Vikings Score in Victory Over Centre

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Vikings Men's Basketball continued to show why they are the regular season SAA champion with a blow-out victory over the Colonels of Centre, 95-57.

All Vikings contributed in tonight's game with all 14 players who went into the game adding points for the home team.

Three triples from Berry opened up the game in The Cage tonight and shutout the Colonels early (9-2) in the first 2:20.

From that point on, the team just continued to stack and build on their lead with even more three's one from Chase Ellis and another from Isaac Martin (19-6).

Berry's defense combined with their immaculate offense held Centre to only nine points in thirteen minutes of play. A 9-0 Viking run sponsored by Braxton Benham and leading scorer Jordan Krueger gave the home team the 20-point advantage at 30-9.

The next six minutes were baskets back and forth by both teams, but when Drew Winegarden made Berry's 7th first half three with a minute to go, the Colonels heads hung low and stayed down as they headed to the locker room down 46-24.

The Vikings began to have fun in the second half with seven more threes and accumulating a total of 48-18 against Centre in the paint. Berry could not find a shot they did not like and Centre could not find one to go against the tough Viking defense.

The deficit hit forty with a three from Chase Ellis with still almost fourteen minutes to play (73-32). As the Vikings subbed five fresh faces in, they held the pace for the rest of the game and helped their team in this SAA win to increase their winning streak to 11.

Viking Men's Basketball stays at home to face Sewanee on Sunday at 3:00 PM ET.
