Men's Basketball edged by Gettysburg, 78-70

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Homestanding Gettysburg sank ten three-pointers as the Bullets (2-1) handed Stevenson (1-1) a 78-70 loss in men's basketball play on Wednesday night.
 
The Bullets rallied from a two-point halftime deficit, and won despite the Mustangs shooting 45.2 percent (28-for-62) from the field in the contest.
 
Nate Arrington and Cameron Smith each scored 15 points, as Arrington finished 6-for-12 from the field while Smith was 6-for-7. Cameron Sapienza had 11 points with Rasheed Cooley getting 12 rebounds.
 
Stevenson held a 27-20 lead in the first half, as the Mustangs made 46.9 percent of their shots.
 
Trailing most of the second half, Stevenson made one last push and tied the score at 67-all with 3:24 left as Ronald Ayers made a jumper.
 
The Mustangs will host the Mustang Classic – presented by the Marriott MetroCentre at Owings Mills – this weekend with York (NY), Immaculata and Notre Dame of Maryland University appearing. Stevenson will battle York (NY) on Friday.
