The Wolves got out to a fast start as Nana Oteng hit an opening jumper and Mason VanDeMortel followed with a three. After a Pioneers bucket, VanDeMortel hit two more triples and Oteng added another jumper as the Wolves led 13-2, forcing Utica into a timeout. The Wolves later pushed their lead to 15, a game-high, as Devin Milton collected a defensive rebound and charged down the floor for a layup to make it 20-5. The hosts responded with a quick seven points as Utica fought to stay in the game. The Wolves had a three-minute stretch where they only had one bucket and the Pioneers took advantage. Utica cut it to a one-possession game with two minutes left in the half and later took the lead in the final minute as Utica led Keuka 40-39 at the half.

Utica scored the first four points of the second half before Milton hit a jumper for the Wolves. The lead grew as the Pioneers scored seven more until Milton hit another shot two minutes later. The hosts continued to use small runs to create distance from the Wolves. Midway through the half, Utica built a 20-point lead, 73-53. An 8-0 run for the Wolves cut the lead down to 13, 79-66, with 5:40 left to play. Keuka battled until the end, a three by Lorenzo Bicknese (Somers, N.Y. / Somers) cut it to 10 points with 58 seconds left, but that would be as close as Keuka would cut it. Utica continued onto the 89-77 victory.
