Giants Pour It On the Patriots to Match Largest Win in Nine Years

La PLUME, Pa. –  The Giants rained in 19 long-range shots to win big over visiting Valley Forge, 105-67, Tuesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference action at the Gambal Athletic Center.

Keystone's 38-points margin of victory matched a career-best under head coach Brad Cooper's nine-season tenure.

After taking a 50-30 lead at halftime, the Giants came out hot to splash 15 second-half 3-pointers to run away with the victory and improve to an even 3-3 CSAC record (5-10 overall).

Valley Forge fell to 1-5 CSAC and 4-8 overall.

Outstanding Performers

  • Tyrell Lacoste (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) scored a team-high 19 points, splashing four of his five 3-pointers in a matter of 84 seconds to start the second half coming out hot.
  • Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembrokes Pine Charter) finished with his second-career double-double, shooting 5 of 6 from the field and 4 for 4 from the free-throw line to tally up 14 points with 13 rebounds.
  • Senior Darnell Marable (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) was perhaps the star of the night, logging a career-high 16 minutes and raining in five 3-pointers to finish second on the team in points.
  • Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western High) (13), Shane Rosencrans (Throop, Pa./Mid Valley) (12) and Marcus Bauman (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) (11) each finished with double-digit scoring figures as well. Anderson made a trio of 3-pointers while Rosencrans and Bauman each put in a pair.
  • Valley Forge's Hunter Wilson also got in on the rain parade, shooting 5 of 8 from beyond the arc to score a team-high 15 points coming off the bench.
