The Red Dragons had a response of their own as Lubin and Cabrera made treys in the final three minutes to give Cortland a 38-37 halftime lead.

The hosts took six-point leads twice in the first seven minutes of the second half, but Cortland fought back and went up 60-59 on Riley McEvoy's (Homer) layup with about seven and a half minutes left. Potsdam's final lead came on a Segar layup less than 30 seconds later, but the Red Dragons took the lead for good on a Grunder layup at the seven-minute mark.

The Red Dragons were holding on to a 73-69 lead with just more than a minute remaining when Grunder was intentionally fouled after a breakaway off a long inbounds pass. He made both foul shots, Cortland retained possession, and Grunder was fouled again and sank two more charity tosses to push the Red Dragon lead to eight. McEvoy hit two free throws, and Cabreara and Grunder hit one apiece, over the final 45 seconds to close out the scoring.

Cortland will travel to Brockport Tuesday for a 4 p.m. contest.
