Junior guard Riley Miller sank 6-of-7 baskets from 3-point range and the No. 5-ranked Tommies converted 11-of-12 free throws in the final 51 seconds on the clock to record an 82-80 win at St. John's in Wednesday night's non-conference men's basketball game in Collegeville.

Coach John Tauer's team (5-0) topped its archrival for the second time in eight days and ran its regular-season road win streak to 15 games (4-0 this winter). The Toms had only six turnovers and shot 47 percent from the floor.

Miller shared game-high scoring honors with 22 points; Parker Bjorklund added 18 points; Will Engels chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds; and Anders Nelson scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half.

Miller has converted 63 percent from behind the arc this season (27-of-43) to rank at or near the top of national lists. His 21.4 ppg average leads all MIAC players.

Ryan Thissen finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and Mitchell Plombon added 15 points and 10 rebounds for SJU (3-3).

St. Thomas is home Saturday to play Bethel and travels on Sunday to Gustavus. Both are 2 p.m. starts.
