The Baruch College Bearcats suffered a 69-51 loss to the Bloodhounds of John Jay College in a CUNYAC contest on Saturday afternoon.

The visiting Bearcats started slow shooting only 26 percent (7-for-27) in the first half, which enabled the Bloodhounds who shot 48 percent (14-for-29) to take a 34-20 halftime lead.

The double-digit deficit put the Bearcats in deep hole and they kept trying to chisel it down in the second half getting as close as 12 points (53-41) with under eight minutes remaining, but the Bloodhounds finished strong by going on a 12-2 late run to split the season series between the two New York City schools.

Ryan Graziano paced the Bearcats with 11 points off the bench.

John Jay, who led the entire game, was led by Jayson Brower with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
