Oxy Cruises Past Cal Miramar

LOS ANGELES — The Occidental men's basketball team blew out Cal Miramar 94-62 at Rush Gym on Monday in their last contest before breaking for the holidays.

Caleb Yellin-Flaherty scored 21 points on 10 for 12 shooting, in just 15 minutes, Jacob Adler played good defense and poured in 12 points on four threes, Ryan Kaneshiro dished out 10 assists, Kyle Dosa had 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists, and Evan Dray had eight points and 11 rebounds.

Oxy jumped out to a 56-23 lead by halftime during a game that was never close.

All 15 suited Oxy players played in the game. Sydney Shipp led the Tigers off the bench with 10 points on 50 percent shooting, Anthony Hollerich had six points and two rebounds, Connor Dargan had six points and five rebounds, and Isaak Ottmar had seven points and three offensive rebounds.

Chris Sellers led Cal Miramar with 23 points.

Season Impact: Oxy improves to 6-2 on the season.

Next Game: The Tigers are back in action against Cal Miramar on Dec. 30.
