GLENSIDE, Pa. -- Arcadia held its opponent to under 40.0 percent shooting for the eight time this season and the Knights won their sixth straight game, 89-75, over Penn State Abington on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Gymnasium.

With the win, the Knights improved to 9-2 on the season and the six consecutive wins mark the longest win streak under sixth-year Head Coach Justin Scott, eclipsing a five-game run in 2015-16. Penn State Abington now stands at 4-5 on the season.

The Scarlet & Grey limited the Nittany Lions to 38.3 percent shooting (23-60), forced 17 turnovers and held a 37-33 edge on the glass. Nursing a 25-18 lead midway through the first period, the Knights used a 19-5 run over a stretch of 4:34 to assume a 44-23 lead with 5:13 left in the first half. Davis, who scored 17 of his 21 in the first half, capped the run with back-to-back treys and scored nine of the Knights' 19 points. Arcadia's lead grew to as many as 24 points in the first half, and AU eventually took a 54-34 advantage into the break.

The Knights began the second half hitting on just two of their first seven shots and committed four turnovers over the first nearly five minutes of play, but the Nittany Lions managed just three shot attempts and turned the ball over four times during that same stretch.

Scott split a pair of free throws with 14:49 to play that gave AU a 20-point lead (61-41) before a 6-0 burst from PSU Abington made it a 61-47 game with 13:03 on the clock. Fourteen points would be as close as the Nittany Lion would get however, as AU quickly pushed back to a 20-point advantage (72-52) with 8:45 left.

The contest featured a total of 49 total fouls and the teams combined to shoot 68 free throws. The Nittany Lions were 24 of 35 (.686) at the line, while AU shot 57.6 percent (19-33) from the stripe.
