Saints Fall 65-50 Against PAC Rival Saint Vincent

(LATROBE, Pa.) -  Tonight (February 14, 2018) the Thomas More College Saints traveled to Latrobe, Pa. for the first time since last season, where they won the President Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship. The Saints were not able to capture the win tonight as they lost 65-50, which snapped the 12-game win streak that they were had going into tonight.

Going into tonight's game the Saints needed one win to lock up the school's first regular season PAC Championship since 2009 and have home court advantage for the PAC tournament.  The Saints were not able to find the bottom of the net tonight as they shot their lowest percentage from the field this year at 34.6% and only put up a total of 50 points.

The Saints had 12 players reach the scoring column tonight and were led by junior guard Ryne Callahan (Morehead, Ky./ Rowan County) and senior guard Austin Young (Campbellsville, Ky./ Henry County) who both finished the game with nine points.

The Bearcats of St. Vincent College had nine players reach the scoring column tonight and out of those nine three reached the double-digit mark. The Bearcats were led by Kyle Evan who finished the game with 13 points. Along with Evan, Matt D'Amico finished with 12 points and Shemar Bennett finished with 10 points.

The Saints will wrap up the regular season at home for Senior Day as they will take on PAC opponent Washington & Jefferson College. With a possible win on Saturday, the Saints will have the chance to capture their first regular-season PAC Championship since 2009. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
