Oberlin, Ohio – Sophomore Christian Fioretti registered a triple-double as four Yeomen finished in double figures in Oberlin's 76-61 win over the Allegheny College Gators on Wednesday night at Philips Gym.

Fioretti, a native of Menlo Park, California, dropped in 15 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the victory. Junior Eli Silverman-Lloyd led all scorers with 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including a 6-of-8 showing from 3-point land. Second-year post player Andre Campbell added 13 points and eight boards, while Joshua Friedkin rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points.

The Yeomen were out of sync in the early going, producing 10 first-half turnovers that allowed the Gators to go out in front. A 3-pointer from Billy Urso at the 6:38 mark extended the Gators' cushion to 26-18, but Oberlin chipped away at the deficit.

A layup from Fioretti cut the gap down to 27-25 with 1:39 left to play in the half, but the Gators ultimately carried a 31-27 lead into the intermission after Friedkin cashed in the frame's final points slightly before the buzzer.

The tables quickly turned for the Yeomen in the second half as the opened the stanza with a 16-0 run over the first four minutes to claim a 43-31 lead. The barrage featured triple-hits from Friedkin and Silverman-Lloyd, as well as five points from Fioretti.

The Gators shrunk the Yeomen advantage back down to four, 44-40, with 12:14 left to play, but Oberlin answered back with a 13-2 response run to swell the margin back out to 15 at 57-42. The spurt featured two of Silverman-Lloyd's six long-range connections, and it ended on Wolf Moser's first-career 3-point make.

Allegheny made one last surge to get within nine, 59-50, with over five minutes left to expire, but an 11-0 Oberlin answer over the next two minutes of play left no doubt in the final outcome.

The Yeomen held the Gators to just 29.9 percent (20-of-67) shooting, and on the other end of the floor they checked in at an even 50 percent (28-of-56), which included an impressive 9-of-16 (56.3%) showing from beyond the arc. Oberlin won the rebounding war 44-37 and outscored the Gators 30-16 in the paint.

The win evened Oberlin's overall record at 8-8 and moved their conference mark to 2-7. The Gators head back to Meadville, Pennsylvania, with a 2-7 record in the NCAC and they sit at 5-11 overall.

Oberlin will take to the road on Saturday as it makes the short trek to Hiram College for a 2 p.m. conference clash. The Terriers topped the Yeomen, 86-73, in their first meeting back on December 2.
