Tommie men move up in MIAC standings

Senior Ryan Boll had 14 points, six boards and four assists to lead host St. Thomas to Saturday's 84-75 win over St. Olaf in men's basketball conference action at Schoenecker Arena.

The Tommies (8-6 overall, 6-3 MIAC) moved into a share of second place in the conference near the halfway point of the 20-game MIAC schedule.

They sank 12 treys, shot 54 percent on the game and got 46 bench points.

Eleven different players scored for UST, including Connor Bair scoring 14 and Michael Hannon chipping in 12 points off the bench. Eight different Toms sank at least one 3-pointer.

Bair scored eight to fuel a late 13-2 run that pushed the UST lead to 79-62.

Austin Korba scored a game-best 22 points and Robert Tobroxen added 15 points and 10 boards for St. Olaf (9-5, 5-4).
