Senior Collin Olmscheid had 16 of his game-high 22 points in the second half and added 10 rebounds to lead visiting Augsburg to a 62-52 road win over St. Thomas in Monday night's MIAC men's basketball game at Schoenecker Arena.

The Auggies (11-2 overall, 6-2 MIAC), who had only six turnovers, ran their season win streak to five and ended a 11-game skid on the St. Thomas campus since a 62-59 win there in January of 2006. That included eight losses the last seven seasons in the new Schoenecker Arena in the Anderson Athletic and Sports Complex.

Augsburg trailed 32-28 just out of halftime but used a 23-2 run to take control.

Kevin McKiernan scored 14 points for the Auggies, who outscored UST 13-2 at the foul line with a 22-5 advantage in free-throw attempts.

St. Thomas (6-6, 4-3) sank just 4-of-28 from 3-point range, including 12 consecutive misses behind the arc to start the second half. The Toms' 15 turnovers included six charging fouls called.

Connor Bair led St. Thomas with 13 points. Ryan Boll, who picked up three first-half fouls, had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Michael Hannon added 10 points for the Tommies, who had a season-low scoring output.
