#6 RAMAPO CRUSES TO 87-49 WIN OVER FARMINGDALE STATE

Mahwah, NJ:  The #6 Ramapo College men's basketball team cruised to an 87-49 non-conference victory over Farmingdale State College tonight at the Bradley Center. The victory extends the Roadrunner win streak to eight games and improves their overall record to 8-1 while the Rams drop to 5-4 overall.

Ramapo opened the game with back-to-back shots from Nick Stanek and Thomas Bonacum, a jumper and three-pointer respectively to take a quick 5-0 lead. The Rams got on the board with a jumper from George Riefenstahl 5-2 before Moseley put in a basket to make it 7-2 with under 18 minutes to go. Bonacum nailed his second three-pointer of the half to take an eight point lead 10-2 before the Rams shrunk the lead to one 13-12 with 15:11 on the clock.  Matthew Graham hit back-to-back three-pointers starting the 8-1 run which was capped off with a jumper from Monaghan.  Christopher Moseley started a 9-0 run with back-to-back jumpers before Patrick Peterson hit a two-point basket and Rob McWilliams capped off the run with a three-pointer with less than 13 minutes to play in the half to take a 22-12 lead. Peterson later capped an 11-2 run with a three-pointer to extended the Roadrunner lead to 17 with 8:45 left on the clock 30-14. Ramapo would take their biggest lead of the half 46-24 as Josh Ford hit a jumper and scored the final points of the first half for either team.

Ramapo controlled the second half and held a 20-plus point lead for the first eight minutes of action before they extended it to 63-32 with 11:43 on the clock with a pair of free throws from Peterson. A three-pointer from Graham and a pair of made free throws from George Riefenstahl cut the lead to 65-37 before Ramapo went on a mini 5-0 run putting them back up 70-37. With less than seven minutes on the clock Jordan Zagadou gave the Roadrunners their biggest lead of the game 79-41 with a jumper off a steal from Deon Hale. The two teams traded baskets over the next three minutes before Raghav Sehgal hit a jumper 85-47 (3:27) and later scored the second of a two-shot foul to put Ramapo up 86-47. Ramapo got their final point of the game off a foul shot from Evian Brown before Kyle Beeson scored the final points for the Rams on a jumper as the Roadrunners came away with an 87-49 non-conference victory.

Three Roadrunners scored in double figures as Moseley led them with 15 points, two blocks and nine rebounds. Bonacum added ten points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals while Stanek posted seven points of his own. Rob Lewis posted 13 points while Peterson and McWilliams each collected nine points in the win. Ramapo shot 54% (36-66) from the field, 31% (5-16) from the three-point line and 58% (10-17) from the free throw line. 

The Rams were led by Riefenstahl who tallied 16 points, six rebounds and four blocks while Graham added 14 points including four three-pointers. The team shot 33% (21-63) from the field, 19% (4-21) from the three-point line and 50% (3-6) from the foul line. 

The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to non-conference rival Yeshiva University on Thursday, December 21st at 7:30pm.
