MOSELEY LEADS RAMAPO OVER MEDGAR EVERS 82-58

New York, NY: The #8 Ramapo College men's basketball team improved to 3-1 overall with an 82-58 road win over Medgar Evers College. The Cougars drop to 0-3 overall. The Roadrunners are ranked #8 in the most recent D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll, which was released earlier this evening.  
 
Christopher Moseley scored the first three baskets for Ramapo, the third a dunk to cut the Cougar lead to one, 7-6 with 17:29 in the first half. The dunk by Moseley started a 7-0 run that included a three-pointer from Nick Stanek and capped off with a jumper from Josh Ford to take an 11-7 lead. Medgar tied the game for the third time 13-13 with 13:16 on the clock with a layup from Justin Sutton before Thomas Bonacum sunk two free throws, which started an 11-0 run putting Ramapo up 24-13 with under seven minutes to play in the half. The Roadrunners extended their lead to 33-18 with another three-pointer from Stanek and took their biggest lead to close the first half when Bonacum sank another pair of free throws 35-19 with a minute on the clock.
 
Ramapo did not give up the lead in the second half as they extended their lead to 24 points in the first three minutes of the game. Bonacum scored on a layup to put the Roadrunners up 45-21. The Cougars went on a mini 9-0 run of their own, cutting the lead to 56-39 but that is the closest they would get the remainder of the game. Ramapo led by 25 following an 8-2 run capped off by basket from Bonacum with under ten minutes to play before the Cougars cut the lead to 66-49 with 6:43 on the clock. Ramapo ended the game on a 16-9 run as Jordan Zagadou scored the final four points for the Roadrunners in the 82-58 win.
 
Bonacum led the Roadrunners; he finished 6-10 from the field and 6-6 from the free throw line, scoring 18 points. He also collected five rebounds, seven assists and three steals. Moseley and Stanek each tallied 14 points while Moseley added 11 rebounds for a double-double. Ford posted nine points, four rebounds and a team high eight assists and Zagadou contributed with nine points and four rebounds. The Roadrunners shot 53% (32-60) from the field, 27% (3-11) from the three-point line and 71% (15-21) from the free throw line. The Ramapo defense forced 21 Cougar turnovers that resulted in 21 points for the Roadrunners.
 
The Cougars were led by Justin Sutton who posted 15 points while Basheeru Camara added 14 points and a game high three blocks. Maurice Swaby contributed with ten points in the game. Medgar Evers shot 34% (22-64) from the floor in the game, 16% (3-18) from the three-point line and 52% (11-21) from the free throw line.
