Led by Baines making some impressive plays high above the rim, the Tigers crushed Redlands on the glass, winning the battle on the boards 50-32.

Oxy defended Redlands well too, keeping the Bulldogs to just 30 percent shooting on the game.

Austin DeWitz added eight points and nine rebounds, Jay Miller scored eight points and Jeevin Sandhu was a spark off the bench with seven points for the Tigers.

"We played excellent defense for most of the game and I was especially proud of the way we competed on the glass," Oxy head coach Brian Newhall said. "We got important contributions from a lot of people tonight and I'm very happy with the team win."

Oxy led 24-21 at halftime and then erupted for 46 points in the second half. The Tigers' lead was hovering around double digits until they started to pull away around the 10-minute mark in the second half. As Redlands began to extend its 2-2-1 full-court pressure, Oxy got layups on the back end in 3-on-2 situations.

Blake O'Brien led the Bulldogs with eight points.
