MADISON, N.J. (Jan. 7, 2017) – Sophomore guard Darius Reiter poured in a career-high 23 points to lead the Drew University men's basketball team to its first Landmark Conference victory, a 68-65 win over Goucher College on Saturday in Baldwin Gymnasium.

By the Numbers: Drew moves to 7-6 overall and 1-1 in league play, while the Gophers fall to 3-10 and 0-2. The Rangers push their home winning streak to five straight and improve to 6-1 overall in Baldwin this winter.

Top Performers
• Reiter shot 8-of-13 overall and made 6-of-10 from three-point range for his career-best point output. The sophomore added five rebounds and a steal in 35 minutes of court time.
• Sophomore center Nate Aldrich fell one rebound shy of a double-double with 12 points to go with three steals and a block.
• Senior guard Joey Feinberg paced the offense with seven assists, a season-high for the team captain.

Turning Point: Feinberg assisted on back-to-back buckets by sophomore Dan Roibal and Aldrich to put Drew up by 10 points, 60-50, with 10 minutes to play in the game. The lead was important because Goucher used a 10-2 run to cut the deficit to just two points with under five minutes remaining. With a tight score down the stretch, both defenses stepped up as neither side scored a single field goal over the final three minutes.

Highlights
• Drew jumped out to a lightning quick 8-0 lead just two minutes in with Reiter hitting the first of his six triples to complement a three from freshman Riley Collins.
• Goucher eventually erased the deficit and took its first lead at 21-20 with 8:06 remaining in the opening half. There were two lead changes and two tie scores en route to a slim 41-38 lead for the Rangers heading into halftime.
• Reiter helped the Rangers take the upper hand early in the second half with another three-pointer on a fast-break assist from Feinberg. Roibal followed on the next possession with an offensive rebound and put back for the 52-44 advantage. Collins then answered a Goucher deuce with his second triple of the game to put the hosts ahead by nine.
• Reiter hit 1-of-2 from the free throw line with two seconds left to ensure Goucher needed to go the length of court to at least tie. The inbound pass, however, was intercepted by Aldrich to end the game.
