MADISON, N.J. (Dec. 10, 2016) - The Drew University men's basketball team rolled past the College of Saint Elizabeth's newly formed basketball program, 76-47, on Saturday afternoon in Baldwin Gymnasium. This was the first meeting between the two schools. 
 
By the Numbers: The Rangers improve to 4-4 on the year and have won their last two games. The Eagles drop to 2-4 on the year. The Rangers' record in Baldwin now stands at 3-2. 
 
Top Performers:  Freshman guard Riley Collins finished with 17 points off the bench including a 4-of-5 mark from the three-point line. He shot an efficient 6-of-8 from the field overall. Sophomore forward Nate Aldrich contributed nine points and 14 rebounds on the day, providing a dominating inside presence for the Rangers. Sophomore guard Darius Reiter added eight points with two 3-point field goals. Junior Yonathan Napoleon chipped in eight points, five boards and three assists.
 
Turning Point: The Rangers dominated the contest from the start as they scored the first eight points and never looked back until the final buzzer. At the end of the first half, the Rangers led 39-17. The Blue & Green hit their season-high for three-point field goals in a half with eight during the opening 20 minutes.
 
Highlights
• The Rangers jumped out to an 8-0 lead to start the game behind Aldrich's five points and seven rebounds within the first five minutes of play.
• Collins hit four consecutive shots from beyond the arc to give Drew a 27-6 lead at the 8:00 mark in the first half.
• Sophomore guard Dan Roibal ended the first half with a three-pointer from the corner at the buzzer, his first basket of the game.
• Junior center Keiran Sullivan scored the first two buckets of his career late in the second half for the Rangers on back-to-back possessions.
• There were a slew of career firsts including first career points from freshmen David Falcone,Malik White and Brett Harmon. Freshman Nikko DeBenedetto grabbed his first career rebound and attempted a three-pointer on the fast break.
 
Stat Sheet: Fourteen players on Drew's 17-man roster scored points during the game. Drew won the rebounding battle, 60-48, pulling in 22 offensive rebounds in the process. Drew had a season-high 44 bench points and shot 41 percent from the field to St. Elizabeth's 26 percent. There were 50 points in the paint combined during the game, 26 from the Eagles and 24 from the Rangers.
